Influenza....Yep I have it!!

Ok, I can finally say I have Had the FLU...and I don't mean just any old ordinary flu, I mean the full blown FLU!!The kind that kicks your butt.
I woke up, it started out like any other ordinary day....only after a few hours of doing what I do normally, I FELT WEIRD....like I was getting really sick.....long story short, made it to URGENT CARE..how I don't know, couldn't even see hardly, light sensitivity is quite common.AS is a Sudden high temperature, along with a sore throat and an unproductive cough. Body aches like you are dying.
After getting to Urgent Care and finding out my temperature was 102.8 and that I indeed had Influenza,I faced the fact I was really really sick. No way to get around it. Home I went and to bed for the rest of that day and most of the next day. Day 3, still home sick in my Pj's and eating lots of soup and drinking LOTS of fluids, good thing I have always thought I might get the flu, so my FLU stockpile of soups and gatorade and sprite sure came in handy!!!And Thank GOD for TAMIFLU, sure made this FLU much less severe, cannot imagine going through it without this drug!!

THANK GOD for the BEST neighbors ever!!!Donna brought me some soup and some rice along with a yummy dessert, it was like a creme brule with all the fresh berries you can imagine. It tasted so good.
And I wanted to say THANK YOU to all the others who offered to bring soup or drinks or anything I need by, but until I am contagious free, you should really stay away!!!
HUGS 2 ALL

Oh you poor thing! I'm so sorry to hear of you not feeling well. Having the flu is horrible and that achy body feeling is just awful. So glad you are on the mend now though...and yes, thank goodness for good friends and neighors!

Ooh, that's an ugly, stomp y' down, run over with a truck type FLU! How nice of your neighbor to give relief. I've never had Tamiflu but heard it works. Get well fast! This weekend weather is supposed to be great, and I know how you like to get out.
