THE Bears in the SPIN through part...the slogan of the place is Spin it.....meaning drive through portion.....Stroll it....obviously the walking portion and Soar it for the Bird show portion.....But the Bears were amazing!!!!And they were UP and walking around, to our delight!!!We must have seen about 20 BEARS!!!Well, we kept driving around the circle again and again....
Driving through the entrance...this is where you pay to get inside....
then you enter as if it is Jurassic Park or something.....maybe it is!!!Spin it.....spin those tires!!!
First animal we saw was the Desert Mules/Donkeys
You can have your windows down in this area....so Little dude was waving at the animals!!!
next was American Bison.....
He liked these too!!
In the wolves area, you must have your windows rolled up....they looked pretty scary... don't they!!!!Sound asleep in the heat of the day!!
Next Big Horn Sheep.....
White Buffalo!!!See the baby one???
And then da BEARS!!!
Black ones....
Brown ones...
Black Bears sitting up!!
Black Bears playing in the water....
Now comes the stroll part of the Park....first you meet Justin Beaver!!!
The Porcupine.....
One of the many peacocks....
And then MORE BEARS!!!!BABY BEARS!!!! There were 5 or 6 of them and they were SO cute!!Some were High up in the trees....
Some were on the ground wrestling around with the other bear and one was trying to stay clear of that wrestling around!
They were like little kids!!
These little bear cubs are kept in this area until they reach 6 months old...then they go to the Bear-Garden...or Kindergarden!!
These Bears are the older ones.....
But still quite feisty!!
This is a Bob Cat...
A FOX....F-O-X!!!!Love that part of You've Got Mail!!!
two linx cats..
My Hubby's little sister and her family live in Williams, so we called to see if they wanted to meet up with us...they were in Flagstaff, so we drove there and met them. Great Aunt Mary with her little niece!!
And for Old Times sake, our daughter wanted to go to Beaver Street Brewery and Restaurant, our two daughters went to Northern Arizona University, so this was a fun hang out for them while up there during those Long Cold Winters!!Flagstaff, Az is at elevation over 7,000 feet, so they can get cold and get lots of snow.It is a beautiful town with alot of neat historic buildings.
I loved the church pew booths!!!and the food was really good!!!
SO if ever in Arizona, head north to Beautiful Sedona, Willams and Flagstaff....three of our Favorite Cities!!!
