It's a Small World....afterall

it's a world of laughter, a world of tears, its a world of hopes and a world of fears, there's so much that we share that it's time we're aware, it's a Small world after all!!!
This ride originally was seen at the 1964 World's Fair in New York City.
I remember bringing our young daughters to Disneyland and riding this ride over and over again, there is something magical about these dancing dolls, you ride this ride and that Famous song stays in your head forever.Even little dude was taking it All in!!
 He would point and smile.....
And for a better look, he stood!!
And of course Sweet little Miss had to stand and give it a Standing Ovation...asking that famous question "Can we ride it again"???

But I was just wondering if I am the only one who has a WOW... it is a small world moment at least once per month. It happened again today, I was writing on facebook and one of my friends saw a comment from a person with a common name and my friend said "you know so and so of Prescott"? I said why yes...do you???These two people I would think would never know each other, but I was wrong again. Happens quite often really. So for me, I think our world is small and for our City and our County to be this BIG I am amazed at how often I share a friend with someone else!!!

I am always amazed at who is friends with who on fb! We are all connected in small ways! I have to say that once on that ride was enough for me. Sorry!

I'm always amazed at how small a world it is. I take Pure Barre classes in Scottsdale, 40 miles from my house and who was in class a month or two ago? A girl I cheered with and danced with in high school who still lives on the west side. I noticed a girl from high school posted on my sorority sister's FB page - I know they didn't go to high school together, but they met in college. Always a small world!!

I've never been a fan of Disney but by daughter is dying to take her kids when her husband gets back from Afghanistan. Probably won't happen though, too pricey for a soldier.

Who can't help but SMILE when Disney's "Small World" is mentioned? That song used to drive me nuts ... yet I've precious memories associated with each ride.
How wonderful, you were able to introduce Miss C and Liam to that sweet tradition!

I say it quite often, yes!
Love the ride...the message, and the music.. :))
Just peeked at the lovely Birthday Party in your previous post, dear Mimi...so glad everyone had a good time!
Very sweet..
And, we did stop in B&B today to peek at the cute Parisian goodies...we ended up with a shimmer/lotion combo, but I am going back for the Eiffel Tower spray...it is so cute! Merci again for the heads up!
Have a beautiful weekend,
- Irina

It is a small world indeed, Mimi, especially when you think how infinite its Maker is.
This post took me back to the first time I experienced that ride with my parents when I was about 12. Mine was at Disney World though. I have gone too many times now to remember how many times we've visited, but it is always magical, especially when we first took our children when they were much younger. Now we go with them (two young adults) and their friends and it is even more fun if you can believe it. :)
Thank you for stopping by. Glad you liked my pretend French flea market. So jealous that you got to visit a real one. ;) Can't wait for your post.
Have a lovely weekend, my friend.
XOXO's,
Marcia
