Brush with Fame Game-Monday--Jennifer Garner and Jamie Foxx

In Sept. of 2006, I auditioned for a role as a Muslim woman for the Movie "THE KINGDOM", I did get a second call back and a costume audition, but I do not think I looked ethnic enough to make the cut. I did however work 2 days as an American living on the US Embassy in Saudi Arabia as an extra. The first day was the opening shots of the movie at a friendly softball game with other US Embassy families. Then the bombing occurred and we had to RUN!!!! And run for 7-8 hours, it was hot and not all the fun!!! I'm sitting on the first base side and I have a hat on!!!! The job HOLLYWOOD did reconstructing a Middle Eastern town, building lots of buildings was amazing, so amazing that alot of people assumed it was a new condo complex, with a Middle Eastern touch to it!!!! They brought in LARGE Palm trees and built the softball field all in the middle of the desert about 5 miles from our house!!!!!I was NOT allowed to bring a camera to set so I waited until filming was done and went and took these pictures!!!!The second day I worked was at the American Embassy housing unit and that is where I got a glimpse of Jennifer Garner and Jamie Foxx.

The softball field
Our apartment complex where the Americans lived in the movie, in the first day of filming, it was not bombed out yet, but while playing the game we had to Pretend we were being bombed!!!!
The rec center they built, this is not a complete building just a front facade!!!! Remember my pics from Hollywood studios in Florida????
Some of the crashed cars they used on our local Freeways!!! One of my friends husband worked as Security detail as he is Highway Patrol officer.
Just a little fun hobby I have!!!!!

Jamie! Sometime I'll have to come visit you and maybe I can have a brush with fame too! LOL!

Hope you and your family have a great Monday! Blessings and take care!

My goodness you are like the luckiest woman ever. First you meet Tom Selleck and get to have a conversation with him, then you get to see the actual Sixteen Candle home, and you were an extra. I know I remeber other blogs with famous people but off the top of my head, I can't think of it right now, but goodness your lucky girl.

Have a blessed week. Take care.

Hugs,
Heidi

Ok so I love the fact that you have got to "Brush with Fame" with so many people, but this one I think would have to be one of the best. I just think Jennifer Garner is so cute! I can't believe how many times you've got to be an extra. You live an exciting life! I must say Miss C has a pretty cool Mimi!

Wow! I'm impressed! I don't think I've ever met a famous person! Of course, they don't film a lot of movies around here. :)

Jamie,
That is so great that you have so many "Brushes with Fame". Are you going to come with Corie when her and I meet up for lunch? Morgan and I would LOVE to see you too!

How interesting. My son worked as an extra over several years ago on American Me with Edward James Olmos. He was disappointed his small part was cut. He finally gave up on the film industry, moved to Arizona and works for B of A.

Jamie,
Did you ever have any aspirations
to be an actor. How fun. By the way it looks like you haven't changed at all. Kathy
