Yes, today is THANKSGIVING DAY, NOUN, so today we gather with family and friends and eat all that wonderful food we normally just eat on Holidays!!!!We visit, talk, laugh, take a nap, watch a parade, a football game, hopefully take a walk, remember to say THANK - YOU to our Heavenly Father for all the Great Blessings he has bestowed upon us, for without him and his mercy we would be nothing or have nothing!!!!!So to him first and foremost I thank you dear Lord for everything you have given to me and my family. I also Thank him for all my family who without them my life would be so empty and sad. I thank God for friends like all of you who have enriched my life more then you will know. For my friends who I see face to face occasionally some NOT near enough, thank you for being such great friends!!!! I thank God for my health and the health of my family!!!! Now have a fun wonderful day doing all the things that make you happy and remember to say THANK-YOU to day!!!!!Thanksgiving the verb------It is an act of KINDNESS not shown on ONE day but everyday!!!!!
If we all could be Thankful like a child, wouldn't this world be so much more pleasant?????
here is a recent Thank-you note I received from my niece's daughter, she is 11 years old. I had a pair of UGG boots, I know I live in warm AZ and why do I have UGG boots, well I needed them for some cold weather travel. After visiting my Mother-in-law a few years ago, and watching her clean up every pair of shoes she wore outside, it changed me, I now scrub and clean every single pair of shoes I wear, unless they are OUTSIDE shoes only!!!! So these UGG boots were like brand new and I knew she would love to have then so off they went to live in Chicago where they get lots of use keeping her feet warm!!!!!!My point here is this, let's all be childlike in our expressions of THANKS, even for 1 day!!!!!!
Her note touches my heart every time I read it!!!! I keep it near my desk so I remember to be Thankful every single day!!!!!!!
