Brush with Fame game Monday!!! Charles Barkley!!!

Since yesterday was Superbowl Sunday, I thought maybe a sports hero would be my Brush with fame today!!!!Charles Barkley joined the Phoenix Suns in 1993, he was like a Breath of fresh air for the Phoenix Suns, he brought an element of entertainment to the team!!!! It was at this time that all of my kids became HUGE Suns fans!!!! We went to games when we could get tickets, which were tough, because he brought alot of wins to the team as well. We had the luck of running into him several times and he almost always was nice to the kids and would sign a ball or basketball card for them. Here is one of several pictures of him with our 2 daughters and some of their friends!!!!

I remember when Charles came to Phoenix. He sure added a lot to the Suns and to this whole area. '93 was such a special year for the Suns. We still haven't quite gotten over that three pointer that lost the game in the last second. lol
So nice you got to see him. Our daughter said she saw him a couple of weeks ago at Dickie's BBQ in Scottsdale. We went there for lunch Sunday and were wondering if Charles might be there. Then we remembered, of course he would be in Miami.
Hugs,
Charlotte

Good ol Charles. I think I have met him about 5-6 times. A few times in Scottsdale, Vegas, and those times after the games. He is kind of a smarty pants....if you know what I mean.

Howdy Jamie
Thank you so much for offering to send my Mom a card to cheer her up!
That would be wonderful .
Tuesday will be really rough on both my parents as I will finally be going home for a week to take a break.
Mom is in good hands but Dad is really going to have a rough time when he finally gets home to a dark trailer and no one around .
I have asked several relatives to call him ,email him etc...
So I hope they remember.
I have no choice but to go home at this time to take care of a lot of loose ends .
Anyway back to my Mom .
Her address is :

Yes, yes, Liberty Market! I knew when I told you that Manhattan didn't sound quite right. It's in old Gilbert on Gilbert Rd. (duh). I couldn't make my gps find it but I'll bet you can google it.
The same guy that owns it owns Joe's Bar-b-que (I think...) that is kitty corner from Liberty Mrkt. Some guy told us it was even better. Hope this is accurate. I'm not good with names and directions. Can you tell?

Oh Charles Barkley...gotta love him!!! : )
I commend you on your bravery concerning Ikea! I have to work up my nerve just to enter "THE MAZE"!!! Thus, I only go about once a year. But I do love their stuff.
How wonderful that you got to see Laura Bush speak in person. I, too, am grateful that you got there safe and sound, rather than not at all!
And your LOST party looked awesome. I still can't get over that "Darma Initiative Food"!!! You're the best Jamie...THE BEST!

Good Morning Sweet Jamie...
I so love to see who you are going to share each week. Just who do you plan on running in to at the Olympics? I can't wait to see because knowing you, you will find someone. You can spot them in the crowd sweetie.

Have you and Char talked about getting together for a luncheon? I didn't know when you were leaving for the Olympics but I would love to help if you would like me to. I could maybe take that Friday off, or if you make it my Friday off I would be available. Do we want to aim for St. Patty's Day time, seeing as how I know you will be leaving soon. We have to give folks some time to plan.

Let me know your thoughts. Have a beautiful Valentine's Day Sweetie, if I don't get to talk to you before hand. Please be my Valentine.

Country hugs and so much love sweetie...Sherry

Hi Sweetie...
I am so excited for you. I wish you could throw me in your bags. What a chance of a lifetime for you and DH. You will have so much fun.

I work this Friday and then am off the next. Take them forward and you will see which one I am off. I would love to help you and Char if you would let me.

Let me know when you get back, and if you can get the place downtown, and we will go from there. Maybe we could get together before then and make some name plates for the place settings on the table. Some fun things. I would so enjoy it.

Have a beautiful time. I know you will be leaving soon. Email me.

Country hugs sweetie and so much love. Happy Valentine's Day to you too. Love, Sherry

You know everyone! Cody would of loved to see him in person. So sad the Colts lost. Kind of fun for the Saints so all give it to them. As for that party it looks like fun. I had so much fun with you guys. Can I just tell you, you have gotten some of the best pictures of the kids together the last few times we've had fun. I love them. I really love the one at the table with the tea party, but the one of all the kids seeing the toy section for the first time was a perfect picture of how happy they got. I mean look at all three of them with their hands in the air! Love it. Ok the one of Miss C and KJ on the slide is adorable too! Nice job all have to get those from Corie. Thanks again you are the best!
