I have an IKEA!!!!!!

Corie had a wonderful IDEA to go to IKEA today!!!! Since I have Never been to an Ikea store, I was ready to finally go. I had been told that what they sold was mostly stuff for college dorm rooms, apartments or loft type homes in New York City!!So I was quite Surprised!!
I wore red today as it was a day to Remind women of the dangers of Heart disease. So Ladies, make sure you know your numbers, Cholesterol, LDL, HDL and triglycerides, knowing these numbers can save your life. My Dad died just a few weeks short of his 51st Birthday. He had a massive heart attack and lived a few weeks before passing away. To much damage was done to his heart. So I have been aware of heart disease for a long time. I too inherited high cholesterol which is associated with heart disease and I have been on a statin drug for along time. Diet and exercise helps so much, but I also know that this drug saves my life.

This giant store has a child care center!! Nope, we let Camdyn shop with us and shop we did, we were there for 4 hours!!
First stop was the store's cafeteria, yep they have that too!!!
I had the Swedish meatballs and mashed potatoes. It was so good!
Of course we had to try the Princess cake, a Swedish dessert. It was ok, but I would not get it again!

Have you seen the movie "The 500 days of Summer"?? It was a chic flick , and kinda cute, but with a sad ending sort of!!!But I chose this as my kitchen!!!!
Chose this as my living room!!!You would have to see the movie to understand what I am talking about!!!
Corie liked this one, but I sat down for a break and a pic in her room!!!
After 2 1/2 long hours, we finally made it to the CHILDREN'S shopping area!!! These 3 kiddos were sooooo Excited to say the least!!!!!
The 2 fun and cute girls had a quick tea party......
tried out the slide.....
And finally time to go to the warehouse and pick up what we bought!!!!
What a Great IKEA Corie, what a fun idea!!!!!Thanks Krystal, Trey, Kajun and Mom Judy for going along for a fun time!!!

Just stopping by and thought I'd leave a message, hope you don't mind.

I see that you live in AZ...I recognize that Ikea! My daughter is a Junior at ASU so needless to say, we've been to that same Ikea a few times!

I could shop for hours there and usually do! So glad you got to experience it for yourself and see what Ikea is all about. I'm sure this won't be your last trip.

Take care and have a great weekend!
Linda

Hi Jamie,
I love IKEA! We go to the one in Minneapolis. It's right next to the Mall of America, so lot's of shopping! I have actually been to the one in Tempe, with my son. Yes, I can't wait to get back to AZ. Karen,(from CA) may be coming over to visit. I will let you know when I have the day and time she is coming! I can e-mail you. CAN'T WAIT! Hugs, Cindy

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! We have one about 45 mins. away. Haven't been, but I'll have to check it out. I want you to promise me that you will do a little hybrid on your scrapbooking layouts! Take a button off the kids clothes and add it on. Say, it isn't so you are totally digital! lol ;o)

The first visit can be overwhelming. I can't believe your young shoppers lasted that long!

Now I can be in and out of there in 20 minutes.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I've never been to the Teeter House but it sounds like fun. Appreciate your taking this responsibility. I'm really not good at organizing. March sounds good. Let me know.
Hugs,
Charlotte
ps. I've been to the IKEA store two or three times but not lately. It is an interesting place.

I don't think I've ever been in an IKEA! Of course, we live in a small town. But it looks like a lot of fun. I also have the cholesterol problems and also high blood pressure both inherited.

Jamie,

I still CANNOT BELIEVE you had NEVER been to IKEA! I got lots of stuff for my wedding there, and we have a few pieces of furniture from there too. I does take quite a while to get through there though.

As far as wearing red for women's heart disease I commend your commitment to the cause. Working in cardiac medicine I'm amazed at how much people don't take care of themselves. Diabetes is another huge risk factor for a heart attacks, thus it is very important be tested for that as well. Most of my patients in for bypass grafts have hypertension, dyslipidemia (wacky hdl/ldl) and diabetes. If your dad's heart attack were to have happened today, the advancements in medicine have come so far, that they probably would have been able to put in a ventricular assist device and get him strong enough to qualify for a transplant.

Hi! Thanks for coming to visit my blog! It was nice to meet you. I hope you'll come again soon!

We are finally getting an Ikea where I live but they won't finish building it til I think 2013! That's a long time for a building to be built so it better be worth the wait! I already have a huge shopping list from the website but I am not willing to pay the shipping fees.

Anyway nice to meet you!
