Best friends!!!!Where is yours????

Everyone celebrating Liz's Birthday!!!
Today my daughter, Miss C and I had lunch with Corie's best friend!!!She turned 30 a few weeks ago and we finally got to Celebrate with her!!!! These girls met in 7th grade and HIT it off right from the start!!!!They were 13 when this special meeting took place and look at them now, they are both 30!!!!!Even after Corie moved away to college, Liz moved away to Oregon for College, these girls have remained the best of friends!!! She now lives about 70 miles from us, as we all moved to the Other side of town!!!!Maricopa County is the 4th largest County in the United States by population, land size, I believe the 2nd largest!!!!!In this County there are over 50 cities and towns!!!!What I am getting at is no matter how many MILES away, these girls would still be BEST FRIENDS!!!!!
This pic is from 96, when they were about 16!!!!
Liz and her wonderful MOM!!!
Grandma Viki and her 2 little sweethearts!!!!
Liz and her 2 darling kiddos and Corie and Miss C!!!!
Camdyn and Chas are just way to cute together!!!!
Off to SMEEKS, a fun Vintage Candy store!!!!
Having fun playing with all the balls, it kept her distracted from all the Candy!!!

I had a Best friend, we moved next door to each other when we were both 3!!! WE stayed next door neighbors til her family moved about 1 mile away to a bigger house when we were 12!!! The very hot summers were spent bicycling back and forth to her house and home!!! Or she was at my house!!!I chose to get married 9 days after graduating from high school and she went off to Indiana to go to College!!!!She was my Maid of Honor and I was hers!!!!! WE stayed very close, working at the same place for years together. My best friend got childhood diabetes at the young age of 13, and that was very hard for her and I, we Both loved candy and Ice Cream!!!!My best friend died from complications of diabetes at the very young age of 34. It was so hard on me, I really never developed a BEST friend relationship like that one ever. I have LOTS of GREAT friends, but there is something so unique about a Childhood best friend, you are more then friends you are connected by life's circumstances and your experiences shared together!!! To this day, I am still close to her parents!!!!

I loved this post!

I am still best friends with Deanna, who I met when I was in the 9th grade. She is as much family as anyone around.

My daughter met her best friend in the 9th grade also although they knew of each other when they were younger. My daughter's best friend is the sister my Courtney never had and like a second daughter to me. In fact, she got an Easter basket from me today too!

I am so very sad to read of your childhood friend's passing. Diabetes is nothing to fool around with. It's very serious stuff and I see the effects of diabetes everyday at work. It isn't pretty!

Take care and have a wonderful, blessed Easter!

What a wonderful day you had Jamie~ Hey, we are the same age. And my son, Josh that lives in Phoenix is 30 too. So sad about your best childhood friend. My best high school friend died from pancreatic cancer when she was 42. She still had kids at home, it was so sad. Well, you take care, and enjoy your Easter with that cutie grandbaby! Hugs, Cindy

I always enjoy spending time with you three. I also always leave wishing that we had more time together, but thankful for the time we do get. I loved seeing the kiddos play together. Who could have pictured 15 years ago that we'd be watching our own kids chase each other around the table?! My how time flies. Thank you both for the lovely afternoon and nice gifts!

A childhood best friend is a special bond. I met my childhood best friend when I was 2. We were inseparable. We both moved away from the street we met on. We started to see each other about only once or twice a year. Then I moved to Arizona and we had completely separate lives only seeing each other once in 5 years. We went to college and never spoke. Then I moved back to LA. She lives in LA too and we ended up moving 2 buildings away from each other and it's like nothing has changed. It's a unique bond. Her family is my second family even all these years later. Even though she isn't the best friend who I talk to every few days, or the one I immediately run to, she is the one who knew me before I became the person I am now. It's a unique bond that nothing else can compare to.

Dear Jamie,

My best friend is asleep on the sofa!!! haha...My hubby is truly my best friend.

Through out my school years...it was like I had a new best friend every year. My sis and I have stayed close and then my Mom is cherished. Now my daughter is a close friend!

Very sorry that your dear friend's life was shortened at such a young age...this is so very young. Your friendship with her is one that you will always have in your heart.

Beautiful childhood memories.
