Company at my house and hot weather, what do we do???

We drove up north to Payson, Az to visit and see my Uncle and Aunt's new cabin up there!!!They call the place Rooster Ridge, as up on the hill above their house is a tree in the perfect shape of a Rooster!!!!
The cabin!!!!It is so much cooler up here in the summer then down in the Valley of the sun!!!!
The kitchen with all of it's cute rooster decorations!!!
We had lunch at the Beeline Cafe!!!It was very good down home cooked food!!!
Off to visit the old homestead of a Scotsman who found the Natural bridge while hiding out from the Apache Indians. Then it was turned into a lodge. This building has been included in the National Register of historic places!!!
It is a very charming place and no wonder lots of weddings are held here!!!Please if you live in Az or are planning a trip here make sure you make a stop there, with Government budget cuts, this National Park is slated to close in Sept. How sad, that this beautiful place will not be viewed any longer. How about we cut out some of that Government waste and Pork Barrel spending and keep this National Park open?????
Uncle Vic and Aunt Jan and My sis and Brother in law at the Natural Bridge, it is a drop of 800 feet to the canyon floor, The Bridge is the largest natural bridge In the world. It is 180 feet high, 400 feet long and 100 feet thick of Travertine!!!!
The Natural Bridge, very impressive!!!The front side.
Looking down!!!you can hike to the bottom, see the people???
The Sis and Bro-in-law
ME!!!!
The back side of the Natural Bridge, this is the side the water runs off of, when it has rained or snow run off it looks like a water fall!!!!
My sister and Brother-in-law!!!That creek sure looked inviting, but it was cold. The weather was about 90 degrees, much cooler then Phoenix!!!
This is one of my cousin's daughter's son, does this make sense!!!!
He turned 7 and his birthday party was at the bowling alley!!!!He is such a sweet little boy, after opening each gift, he found the parent and hugged and thanked them first then went to his friend to hug them!!!!
The cute birthday boy!!!!
Cute Emily doing her signature pose!!!!She is the daughter of my cousin's son, so I guess that makes her my 3rd cousin and my kids 4th cousin and Miss C and Miss E are 5th cousins!!!!
My cousin's son bowling!!!
Uncle Skeeter got the birthday boy a DIRT BIKE!!!!And to say he was happy and excited is a HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT!!!!
Uncle Skeeter and his darling nephews Dillon and Caleb!!!
Miss C doing what she does best!!!!
Camdyn psoing for a pic(what else is new!!)
Aunt Reda, Miss C and Mommy walking ahead!!!

Mimi and Miss C getting ready to go see Toy Story 3!!!Such a cute movie!!!

Hello Jamie darling, I hope life is treating you with kind gloves. I’ve missed you so terribly darling. My life has been so hectic, a nightmare really. I haven’t had a moment to myself to sit and think. I did, however, manage to hide for an hour in order to sit down to watch Princess Victoria’s wedding on TV and all through the program, I thought about you. So just now when your comment popped and I saw “Prince Albert got engaged, and I will be glad when Prince William gets engaged” I had to laugh, you my darling are too adorable. Our fascination with royal weddings is one of a kind, I don’t think there is anyone out there that cares and enjoys this topic more than you and I. So darling, did you watch the wedding?

Speaking of princesses, our very own Princess Camdyn has grown into an adorable little girl. I love her outfits. In the photos love is written on both of your faces. I bet she loves grandma’s house and cries when she has to go home. That’s what my children use to do, cry and hide behind my mum. Grandchildren are so precious. I am sending Princess Camdyn and Grandma big hugs and loads of kisses. Take care luv.

Love & Hugs
Duchess

Oh Jamie I'm so glad that you are back to blogging again. I really enjoyed looking at your photos of "up north" and Natural Bridge. I've seen Natural Bridge before and it is truly amazing. The pictures of all the kids are adorable and they really look like they are having fun. Stay in touch and, again, welcome back.

Hi Jamie,
I think the world knows I am really from Arizona...just in Michigan for a while. I know Payson pretty well. We considered that pretty town to build, but wound up choosing Prescott....Ohhh, it was a happy morning when I found your post and I could wander, with pictures, in a place I love!!!!
I have to say, though, I do not miss the desert heat! I love it up in the mountains, but it can get hot there, too!
The little ones are all sweet as pie!

Sweet Mimi you know you can jump in anytime. After all we are all really blogging sisters already. This is just the hooking up party. Miz. Karen said you could join up any time. You enjoy your summer with that wonderful family. Miss C. is so cute, I was looking for her pic.

The nice thing about AZ is that at least there are other places to go to escape the heat. We've yet to go to the mountains in AZ. I'd love to visit Prescott one day. My niece goes to college there.

All of the kids...sooo cute! You are very lucky to be surrounded by such adorable little kids, in your family and in your neighborhood. Would you believe we've got no kids around to love on! I'm sure the kids are keeping you young!

Thanks for posting my cutie patootie Brendon & Emily's pictures! Grandma & Poppy's house in Payson is so nice, isn't it? We're going to camp in Payson for the 4th of July weekend. We camped there last year, I think it may just become a tradition! I've never been to the natural bridge, maybe we'll have to make our way there this time! Thanks for all the photos!

Hi Jamie,,, What a trip down memory lane for me! My parents lived in Payson for years and I have eaten many times at the Beeline Cafe. I was not aware they are closing that park. How sad. I am glad I have seen it. I am glad you enjoyed a nice cool day!
Have a nice weekend... gail
