BLACK SHEEP.......

I was driving down the 202 the other day....well about a week or so actually. And saw this field of sheep, so I got off and drove down the dirt road to get these pics!!
I LOVE BLACK SHEEP, I always wonder if they KNOW They are different????
Growing Up, I was the ONLY Grandchild with BROWN Eyes, all of the rest of them had blue or green eyes. They would tease me and tell me I was adopted. Growing up my Dad always had a way of making me feel special and both he and My Mom reassured me, You are not adopted. Be proud of WHO you are and they always let me know I was Beautiful, my Dad told me he wanted to name me Susie after a song about a brown eyed girl. For about the first 10 years of my life I went by Susie!!My middle name is Sue and I was named Jamie after my dad whose name was James, at 10, I thought Susie sounded like a baby name and insisted on being called jamie!!

To this day I like to think of myself as a black sheep, I LIKE being Unique and different, I think we are all special and should embrace our uniqueness!!
I like the Bible Parable of The Shepherd watching over his sheep. Jesus is a good Shepherd watching over ALL of his sheep!!
Have a Blessed day!!

Howdy Jamie Sue!!!
Nice post that made me enjoy life all the more.

To have one's parents tell you just how special you are is a huge blessing. Jamie, I didn't get words like this spoken over me. I wish I had. A beautiful way to build one's children up in the Lord is to tell them that they are wanted and have great value in the eyes of God. Amen.

One of my granddads raised Colorado sheep and it was a treat to see them in the fields.

Black sheep are pretty aren't they!?!

God bless you,
d

I actually LOVE having brown eyes and am told often by my patients what nice eyes I have....maybe because that is all they see when I have my mask on?:)I say it is FANTASTIC to be different and I embrace what makes me unique to the world!

I was listening to a talk show the other day and they were talking about "Black Sheep". I was interested because according to my family, I am one.
Anyhow, research has indicated that those who are considered the black sheep in families are actually those who feel the most deeply towards their family members. Hmph! Vindicated. :)
