H*O*L*L*Y*W*O*O*D where Stars are everywhere*********************

Hollywood is NOT...... STARS, Yes, Stars on every sidewalk, but very few Celebrities are ever spotted in Hollywood, to me today's Hollywood is a modest slum, I saw more strange things there then anywhere.Filming does still go on there, The Oscars are filmed there at the Kodak Theatre, Old Hollywood was at one time a very Glamorous Place, today it is quite faded from it's once Golden ages!!
And so many famous People are laid to lest in Hollywood. It is an interesting place to visit and hang out, but would not want to spend much time here wandering around!!!I like my hometown!!!!

Hi Jamie,

I too, think Hollywood looks tired and sad, but no matter how old you are....there's always gonna' be some tingles and twinges of faded drama for everyone who visits. History was made there! It will always have a little sparkle just because of all those stars who came before. I love nostalgia, and that place reeks of it.

You're really gonna' be missed at the luncheon, hopefully we can get together soon.

Big Hugs,
Meri

Yes, Hollywood is quite dirty. But, there is still so much nostalgia it still is a little magical! I do admit that I like our clean town much more though.:)

HAHA! Welcome to LA! It's just a weird place. We took Chris's parents on Hollywood Blvd too see all the stars on the walk of fame, to the Kodak Theater and Mans chinese theater where all the handprints are. But the characters there... bizzare. Hollywood and Highland was a pretty cool place to shop though (where the Kodak theater is). They take down some of the store signs when they roll out the red carpet. We saw them setting up for ESPYs when we were there. You found many of the famous sights though. I think I take em for granted when I passed them all the time. Sony studios... yeah great lol. Passed it every day!

If you get off the beaten path there are fabulous apartments and homes in Hollywood. Love the architecture. But yes, the rest~ no thanks.

I am contacting everyone as a reminder and an inquiry to see if they are attending the AZ blogger's luncheon on March 26th as I have to call the tea room on in the next few days with a head count.

Details are on the Monday (3-14) post of my blog.

If you are attending please leave a comment on that post.

Thank you and be blessed!

See you there!

P.S. I haven't been to Hollywood in years... I don't think that I would go again.... I like it better on TV!

Hi Jamie,
That's really interesting to know about. I had know idea that things were getting kind of outdated and old there.
I still would love to see it someday!
Hugs friend,
