My neighbor and Friend Sheri(the one in Red on the far left side) use to live in the Los Angeles Area, she has been a SEAT FILLER at the Oscars, the Grammy's, Golden Globes  and numerous Award shows. I was watching the Oscars Sunday Night when they mentioned this Man.......
CARL, he has been a Seat filler for 59 years now!!!!What a lot of Great Stories he must have to share. The first Oscar Show he went to the movie The Greatest Show on Earth won Best Picture. I just loved his  enthusiasm and his BLUE SUIT!!!
But after all that attention on Seat fillers, it made me I a Seat filler to someone, or you understand the role a Seat Filler does????When someone(like Jennifer Lopez on Sunday night) has to go backstage to prepare to go Onstage or use the restroom, get a drink, etc. they use Seat fillers, so there are No empty seats.
Ok, my point here is you have Seat fillers in Your life????People who really are NOT part of your life, they just step in occasionally and fill a seat. Or am I a seat filler to someone????
I read on MSN today that toxic people in your life are bad for your they or I may be not only a seat filler, they or I may be toxic too!!

On the other hand I have many dear, dear friends that live far away that I haven't seen for years. But when we talk it is like they haven't been gone at all. :)

Oh girlfriend, this story is so cute. I have never thought of or heard of a seat filler, but it all makes sense.
You tho, are much much more to many than a seat filler....ha.
Hope all is going well for you and your family. I know we are so busy, but still hopeing that some day we can get together,

Hi Mimi Jamie,
Enjoyed this post.
Good point!

I think it would be interesting to have the time to fill a seat at a awards program.

God bless you and shine on,

I saw them spotlight this cutie last Sunday, too! I got such a kick out of his cute smile and 1975 tux. :-D

Hi Jamie,
Being a seat filler would certainly be fun at an awards ceremony or such.
Your a good friend to so many and you always send out such cheer and good vibes!
Loved visiting yesterday just wish we had longer...maybe in the fall.
