Birthday parties and Birthday Dinner......

My daughter's friend hosted a Darling Sweet Shop party for her little girl......It was fun to tag along, although I slipped away for an hour to go meet up with My Blogger friend Myra!!!The Party was lots of fun for all the kids....what am I saying....It was fun for the adults as well!!!!I was drooling over all that candy!!!I somehow wished I was 5 again!!
Then we drove back to our side of town.....and while driving, we were Pounded with a Monsoon storm.....it was raining so hard we could Not see the road. Cars were all stopping under the over passes. We wanted to stop too, but decided that might not be the safest option, so we kept driving slow. We arrived at party number two and it was still pouring, we felt so bad, the host had it catered and her pics show this marvelous Mexican Food set up with a man cooking your fajitas anyway you liked them, the decorations were all so cute too, it was a Mexican Luau!!!There was close to 100 people at this party and everyone was forced inside, the rain was amazing to watch but kind of scary too, the rain was completely covering their patio.
As we drove home, I snapped this pic of the mountain behind our home....those are some low laying clouds!!
Drove into my neighborhood and found this!!The kids were all playing in the New nature made lake!!!I recall doing this as a child.....I again wished I was FIVE!!!
These big kids were playing with their remote controlled boat!!

It was our Son's birthday this past week, but since he has been working on a Big Case in San Antonio he was gone for his Birthday dinner!!He will be there working possible another week. It was good to see he and Jesse. He was only home for a short 36 hours and I know he is so tired from working so many hours. We sure appreciate him spending time with us and thank you Jesse for sharing him, I know how much you miss him.

A very Proud Mom and Dad!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CJ!!

Wow, that was a lot of parties all in one day. The candy all looked soooooo good. Funny, we didn't get any of that rain here. It did look terrible on the news. Your new lake is amazing. Glad you are all ok and Happy Birthday to CJ. Hugs, Marty

Happy Birthday to your son! It's my son's birthday next week too. It sounds like you had a great time at the parties. Mexican food is a favorite, and I love fajitas. I've never heard of someone coming to the house and making them, how clever. I'm getting ready for Nel's wedding shower, and it will be a Paris theme. So much to do, my friend. I hope you're having a nice summer.
