We woke early and excited to go to Grand Teton National Park....you clearly can see the peaks from Town but to go and get an up close look is what we were excited to do!!!My hubby said to me at one point while we were driving, that this scene was surreal.....like he was actually staring at a Photograph....it is that AMAZING!!!!
We stopped at Jenny Lake to take a Pontoon ride across this glacier made lake.....
But first.....we spotted 2 one year old bear cubs!!!Grizzly Bear Cubs!!
See both of them......The rule in the National Parks is you must remain 100 yards from Bears....rule does not apply is you are out hiking and Come across a bear.....that is a different story....we were standing on the side of the road when these two bears came strolling out.....I would say we were more like 50 yards away.....
This is Jenny Lake....Clear and cold, yet beautiful!!It was formed about 12,000 years ago...and it is over 400 feet deep.
I saw this perfect spot to rest while we were on our hike!!!
On our pontoon boat ride....
We arrived on the other side...to Hike to Hidden Falls...
This is a 1/2-3/4 mile Hike Up to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point....I kept asking people coming down the mountain..."are we almost there" and "is the worst of the hike over" they all replied almost there and Very Worth the Hike!!!The scenery going up took us along the creek's edge and a cascading fall all the way up!!
You are right on the edge......and some parts was quite rocky...
Other parts were made with rock's to make steps...
There it IS!!!!Awe........so awesome!!
The cascade begins at the top!!
You can actually see the MIST off the falls....
We sat here for a while just to Take it all in....so loud, yet so quiet and peaceful...
So happy we did this!!
The view going down the mountain!!
Oh those peaks....the tallest Peak is just over 13,000 feet!!
This is Jackson Lake, the largest Lake in the Grand Teton National Park.
I think ALL Americans should see the Great National Parks in the good ole USA!!There is Real True Beauty to behold.
