Michael Jackson

These photos were taken at Knotts Berry Farm in March 1984. I was sitting on the curb with Corie and Stacie was in her stroller, Chuck had to use the men's room. I heard a loud commotion and looked up to see Michael Jackson coming towards me with a few bodyguards and a small crowd following behind him. As he walked by, I said to him "hi Michael" and he waved and said
"Hello", by now Chuck had come out and I told him what had just happened. I told him you watch the kids, I'm going to try and get some photos of him. I have loved his music since I was a young girl, The Jackson 5 and the Osmonds were my generations Beatles and Elvis Presley. Do I think his behavior was odd, yes, but I never thought he was guilty of improper behavior with children, I think his strange upbringing denied him of a "Normal" childhood and therefore he never really ever grew up and therefore acted in a childish manner. As the news came forth of his passing today, I was deeply saddened as another Celebrity has left this earth prematurely.

I'm struggling to find words...So I don't know what to write??? lol!...That's sad about michael Jackson, maybe he'll be at peace now, what a life to have lived. I felt sorry for him and I do agree he was a bit odd but I think that's all he knew to be...the price you pay for fame and fortune, sometimes it doesn't seem worth it......hugs, Jennifer

OMG!
You are so lucky to have been so close. I have my original "ABC" albumn that I babysat for weeks to pay for. I too have followed him since Jackson 5, then my son followed him right into "Thriller", and even then his kids into songs today. 3 generations in my family. Thanks for stopping by Country Wings in Phoenix, so happy you enjoyed the post. "Country Hugs", Sherry

Yesterday was such a sad day with the loss of two such well known figures and such a part of entertainment history. I found your blog from another Zoni's place. I live in the desert too. It is so nice to meet some fellow bloggers. Hugs, Marty

Wow this is amazing. I have been trying for YEARS to find more pics of Michael Jackson at Knotts Berry Farm because I was there that day on March 30, 1984. I was on a school field trip and we were walking with him.. we are the crowd walking with him that you mentioned. I would love to see more pics if you have any. Thanks
