Tuesday night family dinner moved to Thursday!!!

For this week's dinner, I decided to go with a color theme!!! Orange, Yellow and Lime green!!!
I already had the plates and I was at Kohl's and saw these great place-mats on sale, so I had to bring them home with me!!!Centerpiece just a bowl of Lemons, Limes and Oranges.

Dinner consisted of grilled chicken, salad(green), corn on the cob(yellow) and this yummy fruit salad with cantaloupe, honey dew melon and pineapple!!!!The best part of the meal is that we were all together!!! Our son-in-law had to work Tuesday night so we moved it to Thursday!!!

Camdyn kept wanting the lemons and limes, then she took a bite out of it and we got this face!!!!

Oh, that's sour!!!!!

Hi there!
Yes, these little ones are full of energy and curiousity. God Bless you as you tend to your little sweetie.

I have been babysitting my grandbaby now 2 and a half for a year and a half. Monday thru Friday from the time she wakes up til about 5:20pm. About 50 nhours a week. And since she lives with us, my evenings and week-ends are not my own.

I'm gaining my strength back, but at first I was a complete wreck...I was exhausted. Long story short, take the naps when she does and be very very very flexible. I need to be getting to sleep earlier than I have been. It seems like I stay up til 1:30 or so.

During the day, we watch alot of Barney, Winnie the Pooh, Sesame Street, Veggie Tales, etc. Read many books, sing and dance, recite the alphabet and count, draw and color.

I HAVE TO PRAY A GREAT DEAL...oh LORD HELP ME. It's been very difficult baby sitting with the remodeling going on, me being peri-menopausal with heavy female issues, life challenges, etc.
But we're making it! Now we are working on potty training. Grins.

I look forward to sleeping in on Saturdays. My sweet hubby lets me. Hallelujah.

Your little one is very sweet. If we can look at how fun this very teachable age is I think it will be rewarding.

I understand the getting into everything. Everything.
God Bless you,
~D~

Hi Jamie! It sounds like you have had a busy week! Miss Camdyn is cute as a bug...Love the pics with the lime, What a face!!! LOL!! I'm sure that little one keeps you on your toes. My mom used to have a toy cabinet for when the cousins and nieces would visit(all grown now)...once they found that cabinet you might as well forget about it...Big mess, but alot of fun. We don't have any babys in the family anymore maybe again one day when the nieces are older....

I think we are 2 1/2 hours from Chicago. We rarely go to the city, my husband hates the drive. My mom lives in the suburbs and he tolerates the drive there, it's not as bad. My Brother is coming here some time in august but I don't exactly know when, he has a crazy work schedule. They live just about on the border of illinois & Wisconson and he rarley gets to come up so I'm kind of on a week by week thing in the summer. So far all I know is they are going on vacation to Michigan and are planning to stop here on the way home. But he isn't sure when yet and he doesn't know how long they can stay. I hate the distance thing, it complicates all the holidays and such....

Once again your dinner setting is awesome! all those summer colors and I love the placemats, I may have to head over to kohl's and see what other sales they have going..... : ) I also love Burgundy!!! I have a sofa that is going to be redone in burgundy velvet ....OK, I know what you are thinking, not like something from elvis! it's going to look pretty..I hope. I'm waiting for the upholster guy to call me so he can pick my old one up...hopefully soon...Anyway, it is going to go in my Carousel front living room. Yes, a carousel living room, there are carousel horses of all sizes and I want the furnishings to reflect a little of that kind of charm...I'm going to have to take pictures and show you that room too.... I better get going, have a great day tomorrow, I think I need to color my hair this weekend too...yuck! Enjoy the pizza! Have a nice weekend, Hugs & Love Jennifer : )

Hi cute Jamie,
Thanks for the compliments about the Studio. When I am in the thick of it all, it looks like a bomb went off in there, and I'm dead serious, so don't be too hard on yourself.
Loved your beautiful tablescape. Lucious color combination! And for the adorable photo of Camdyn at the end...Priceless! : )

Oh Jamie, that face is worth a million bucks. I am so sorry you couldn't come yesterday it was so much fun. The ladies are just beautiful and each one of them have something special to share. I was so tickled to at last meet Marty and just hug her, and hug her. What a wonderful afternoon. I took off work for the rest of the afternoon and spent it looking in a thrift store. Fun time for me and quiet time for me. You asked about my Fridays off, I am off today and then it goes forward. Every other Friday I am off. Check your schedule and let me know. I so look forward to meeting you. You have been such a blessing to my life. I thank you so much and every time I see your pic I can hardly wait to read your post. Thanks so much for being a shining beacon in my days for me. Tomorrow is Pink Saturday post, and for now I am off to the Lab for bloodwork. An insulin diabetics life is living in the lab FASTING. Love you Jamie, we will talk soon. Country Hugs and Love, Sherry
