Brush with Fame game-Monday --Vanilla Ice aka Rob Van Winkle

When we were in Las Vegas this past March, we were staying at Caesars Palace, and we were playing Craps and our daughter Corie looked over and saw Ice over at the next craps table so she walked over and asked for a photo with him!!!! The next night we were walking through the casino and guess who we bumped into again??? Yep, Vanilla Ice, only he really prefers to be called Rob!!!! His real name is Rob Van Winkle, so Will yells out "Hey Rob", he turns around and goes up and fist bumps Will, as if they are Old friends!!!! He asked if we were going to his concert the next night and I knew we weren't, but didn't say anything and my son-in-law was like Yea were coming!!!!I cannot believe how many famous people I have spotted just by looking around, especially in Las Vegas and areas around Los Angeles!!! Although I have spotted alot not in those places!!!!Stayed tuned more Brush with fame pics to come!!!

LOVE Vanilla Ice! He was so nice, down to earth, and genuine! It was fun meeting him...glad I listened to my own instincts and went over to talk to him. Will didn't believe me that it was him!

Oh my...where has the time gone? I have so much catching up to do today. But i LOVED all the Halloween pics in the post below. Miss C looked SO adorable!!! How precious that she cries when someone else is sad. Just shows her compassion.
I also enjoyed seeing the darling Halloween decorations you displayed. I clicked on the one with Mickey and Minnie...SO Cute!!!
I can only imagine who gave you those. Most likely your cute daughter in FL.
And what a great job on your BOO letters. : )

Jaime!
I have to say I'm amazed how many famous people you've run into/recognized. I've lived in LA for almost 4 years now and just recognized my first "celebrity" (she was on a soap opera and dating in the dark, not exactly "celebrity" lol) last week. I even work at the "hospital of the stars" and can't say I've ran into one! Maybe I just need to pay more attention! Although I just found out one of our kidney transplant surgeons is Willem Dafoe's brother.

I'm amazed that you always have your camera with you! Cause now that I think about it, I've seen a few like Rene Russo, Kristi Yamaguchi... (I usually see them at the airport.) But I never had my camera with me!

Hi Jamie,
How cool is that! My hubby went to High School with Joe Diffy and sang in a quartet with him. I guess that's as close we have gotten to famous people! Hugs, Cindy

My brush with fame is nothing compared to yours! But John is cute....also probably the age of my YOUNGEST son! Thanks....and yes, have the surgery....I was scared and had put it off several years and now I'm just so glad it's over!!!

How interesting. My daughter went to school in Malibu and she was always seeing famous people there. She is more observant than I am. I'm sure I would walk right by them and not notice.
I've never been to Virginia. We enjoyed the Boston trip so much we're thinking we should go to D.C. and see the historical things in that area. Maybe next year.

Yeah for you for training!!! You are NEVER to old to accomplish something like that. I am involved in a training group of about 50 women and we are all training together for it!! Great job on your success so far...DON'T GIVE UP!! Can't wait for all of us to meet up one of these days!
Love,

I have never met anyone famous. Well I shook Dan Quayle's hand once years ago. That is it! I really got to meet someone someday...like, let's say....Richard Gere....oh, I adore him.
