Ready to board the Bus to Whistler, Price for bus ride $50.00 round trip!!! But that is the only way to get there!!! No Cars allowed!!!!!
OH NO!!!! The Bus blew a TIRE!!!!!!
Bus driver looking for our new BUS!!!!
This very Nice Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer shows up for assistance!!!!He is trained to ride a horse if needed ever!!!!!I loved his Crown patch on his sleeve!!!!
Getting on the new bus!!!!
A 2 mile Police escort!!!!
Welcome to the SEA to SKY highway!!!!
The scenery was Magnificent!!!!
Some local businesses showing their support!!!!
The big lumberjack statue rocking his red mittens!!!!
No cars allowed after this check point, unless you live in Whistler or staying up there!!!!
After a 2 hour bus ride, we made it to Whistler!!!!!
Getting ready for the fun!!!!!
The Olympic Village was Crazy!!!!!
Where some of the events ended, like the Biathlon.
Showing some Spirit!!!!
A reporter interviewing some one, I loved her headband so that is why I snapped this pic, I want that so bad!!!! Then Mimi could match her little darling Grand daughter's headbands!!!!
Jon Montgomery, Canada's first athlete to win a GOLD Medal in the skeleton.
Doing a t.v. interview right in front of us!!!!
Signing a few autographs!!!
I so hoped I caught him turned around!!!
On the Gondola, headed up to the middle of the mountain where the Bobsled event occurs!!!!
The scenery was amazing!!!!
Walking behind these 3 friends, they are from Canada and one friend has roots from South Korea!!!!
Walking up the hill we ran into this Polish Bobsledder, his name is Dawid Kupczyk!!!
My sister had knee surgery last fall so here is where she said, "I just cannot walk uphill one more step, she made it from the 16th turn known as the Bowl to turn 11. So I said "ok, bye I'm going to the top if it kills me", I will meet you after it is over!!!!
At about turn 8, I ran into Latvia Bobsledder Daumants Dreiskens, I asked a stranger to take our picture!!!!
A few more turns up the hill I bump into a Czech Republic bobsledder, but never could get his name, and No one was around to take our picture!!!!
I finally made it to the top, I nearly died, remember I was sick with a head cold, I did stop and rest many times!!!!Standing about 5 or 6 people from the starting point, the dressing area was right across from where I was standing and right before my eyes, this American bobsledder pulled off his pants and put on his bobsledding outfit!!!!
German Bobsledders team #1
German bobsledding team #2
Canadian bobsledding team #1
USA bobsledding team #1--from the starting line from my camera!!!
My sister and her husband found this awesome place to stand, at the finish line!!!! So we got starting pics and finish pics!!!!
These guys are huge!!!
Team Russia
Team USA #2
Then I started walking down that big mountain!!! So I caught team USA #3 at about turn 3 or 4
Team Romania at turn 6 or 7
Team Italy and their beautiful bobsled made by Ferrari!!!!!
Now I am standing at turn 16 the famous "BOWL"Look at the tv screen up in the left, this is team Great Britain taking off!!!!
They crashed at turn 12 or so, and one bobsledder made a HUGE mistake and came out of his bobsled, thus being disqualified, but you can see he is clearly out of his bobsled in my picture!!!!!
My sister Carolyn caught this of them at the end!!!!OUCH, that must hurt!!!!
wow, that is alot of blood!!!
The Latvia team, remember I met him hiking up the mountain!!!!!I snapped this from the big tv screen!!!
Me with those famous red mittens!!!!This is near the end of the track, look at the cushions they installed after that Georgian Luge athlete crashed into one.

Behind this wall is the exact sight where he crashed. A very sad event of this Olympic games.
All in All this was a magical trip, I am so grateful to have been able to attend this, I can know cross off "Going to an Olympics" from my bucket list!!!!Thank You Baby for giving this great gift to me!!!! I love you so much and so appreciative for the many things you do for me!!!!

Well sweetie...
You did it again. Celeb pictures, now you have pics with the Olympians I am so impressed. How beautiful you look in your little red mittens. I love them, and the story behind them is just awesome.

Yes March 27th sounds fine to me. Now what can I do to help you put everything together? You cannot do this yourself? I would be so honored to help. Let me know what you would like for me to do. We can post it on our blogs too, so that everyone that wants to come, can and we will reach so many this way. I will probably drive myself.

I can't wait. I have to get busy on my giveaway to the ladies for that day. I will have to see how many are coming, and go from there.

Thank you for sharing you Olympic trip with me. I have so enjoyed every bit of it.

Hugs and so much love sweetie...Sherry

Oh Jamie, Thank you so much for sharing these! They are awesome photos! It looks like an amazing experience. I had to chuckle when you showed the Great Britain guys battle wounds, that much blood is nothing :) (especially for a perfusionist) but man that has to hurt! And the scenery is gorgeous!
