Visiting Naval Base Kitsap Home of the Submarines and Naval ships

How cool it was to visit The Naval Base home of the Ballistic Missile and Nuclear Submarines!!!
I love the sign, it reads " Defending our Freedom", for that I say a BIG THANK YOU!!!!
Walking on the deck of a submarine at the submarine memorial.
The submarine Tail!!!!
I asked if these Military guys would honor me with a pic, the one on the left is an officer and a Gentleman!!!!
I caught this young man giving a Salute, I think it is so cool!!!
Because the weather was Perfect the entire 5 days I was up in the Pacific Northwest, Mount Rainier was visible everyday!!!!The 5th tallest mountain in the lower 48 states !!! My sister tried to tell me this was the tallest but she is wrong!!!!
Crossing over the bridge that connects the Pennisula and the main land together!!!What a different way of life it is up in this area, ferries, bridges and water everywhere!!! I understand the nickname EMERALD CITY, it is so green here!!!
Having some fun!!!!
Daddy loves his little boy so much!!!
Saying good-bye to my sweet Great nephew Peyton!!!He is my nephew Brad and his lovely wife Natalie's adorable son, Mommy is expecting baby #2 in August!!!!

Whaat a wonderful trip..... Your Great Nephew is adorable!!
I can't imagine living with so much water to contend with...BUT we live in the mountains & some may say that is different. I guess it is all what we get used to!

Ohhh, that last picture said it all. I just KNEW it was a good-bye photo. :( What a cutie, though.
I still cant' get over all the wonderful photos below, from the Olympics. I'm so glad you kept clicking away (for our benefit). What an amazing experience. There were some darling pics of you in there too, BTW. : )

I am so enjoying your vacation, and what a pleasure to meet Peyton. He is adorable. Just noticed the beautiful picture of you and Chuck -- you're wearing the blue gown. You like fabulous.

I love this last photo of you & Peyton! I can't tell who is sadder to be leaving...you or him!

GREAT photos of your trip! I've never been to that part of our country. It looks so lush & green.

Spring has finally arrived in Ohio & it is glorious! I want to be outside every minute, just soaking up the sun & warm temps. You'd be freezing at 57ยบ but to us, it feels like a heat wave! LOL
Thanks for sharing. :)

My husband would have loved that sightseeing day! His dad was in the Navy. Growing up, he lived on a few Navy bases. He always feels at home on them!
