Tea Party tonight!!!! Because I am tee'd off!!!!

A pretty good Country Western Band to entertain us!!!!

I had a very busy day today, had a Hair cut/color appt. at 11:45 a.m., another new lady, I had to take Miss C with me as Daddy had to open, so that was an adventure in itself!!!! The lady has her own little suite so she said no problem, actually she is my next door neighbor!!!!So after almost 4 hours, I left there with VERY dark hair, I have been dealing with the last hair stylist goof up who dyed my underneath hair RED, and I mean RED!!!! So I found someone new!!!!Well now I look like I am headed to a Priscilla Presley look alike contest or a GOTHIC Revival!!!! SO NO PICS OF ME TODAY AT ALL!!!! It is a wonder I did not find a bridge to jump off of!!!!!
SO I have a very VERY busy week-end ahead of me and WHAT DO I DO WITH MY HAIR!!!!!
Can you believe the stylist , my NEIGHBOR told me" if it's to dark just go home and wash your hair with Dawn dishwater soap!!!!" I nearly fell over laughing and can you believe I had to pay her 125.00 dollars for Gothic revival HAIR!!!!!!
A very big, well behaved group of tea party attendees!!!!At Founder's Park in Queen Creek, Az.This was just one party being held all over the Country today!!!!Thanks everyone for going out and making a difference!!!!

I agree with this sign!!!!
A Congressional Candidate and he is a REPUBLICAN!!!!!Let's take back control!!!! We CANNOT continue to give this Administration an open check book!!!!We must all Democrats and Republicans practice Fiscal Responsibility!!!!
I love our VETERANS and I have so much respect for the service they gave for this great Country!!!
THANK-YOU!!!!!

I have debated for a long time about coloring my hair...so much grey.....but I have seen so many with this maroon hair I decided I have enough junk in my life. I sure don't need to pay someone to mess-up my hair too!!
Big "tea party" here yesterday....I will say that I think it is a waste of time as the administration doesn't care!!
Have a Wonderful Weekend!!
Love,
Marilyn

What is it with hair stylists lately? I looked like a crippled hedgehog last hair cut and I don't like my color either. Don't they know my ego can't take mistakes. We're talking my crowning glory here folks. You'd think tee'd off if you'd paid the taxes we did this year. Yikes!

Oh Jamie! I'm sorry but I laughed out loud about no pics today with your new shade of hair.

I'd heard that about dawn and washing the hair with it.

Does that really work?

I'm needing a haircut and can't find my old stylist...she sold her business and I'm in search of her.

Still my natural shade of blonde, but the grey hair has invaded my head...too much stress I think.

Hope I find her...you know when you see these ladies that have grey hair on top and the bottom layers toward the end of the hair is a funky blonde shade? Well that's beginning to look like me and I don't care for it.

You have a great week-end and may you get that shade of red that makes you lovely! Gotta do something about this.

When my oldest son moved out on his own, he decided to color his hair while watching a sports game on the tv...got sidetracked and his hair turned out bright yellow. He's barber cut his hair for free...said this ones on me me. I swear at 6'7" my son looked like a candle burning brightly.

Think the tea parties are becoming very popular. Beginning to hear about them in my neck of the woods.

God bless,
d

Oh Mimi, I do understand the hair thing. I finally quit going. I just cut and color mine myself. If it's screwed up then it is my fault. I know you're still gorgeous. Hugs, Marty

OK, I HAVE TO ADMIT, I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOUR RED HAIR, CHAR

Looks like they had a great turn out fo the tea party! I liked your hair before! I didn't think it looked red. I can't wait to see what you do with it this time.

I can second that Dawn comment. It really does pull color out. Of course it won't take it all out, but it can pull out the excess color that you usually have when you first dye it darker. Wash your hair like 10 times in the shower! It's always a shock to go dark when you've been blond for a long time. I'm sure it's not as bad as you say :)

I'd love to see your hair too - but certainly understand why not!

Gothic huh?

I am so sorry. I have had that before myself.

Finally found someone I love and I'm staying.

Dawn does take the grease out!

Good luck.

I'm glad you went. I'm thanking God for all the tea parties. We definitely need to take back the country before it is completely destroyed.

Hi again. You mentioned Kurt Warner was going to be at CVV. Is that Christ's Church of the Valley?

I meant CCV not CVV. Oh well.

Ugh, this may be awkward since it's your neighbor! That happened to me once and I felt the same way.....it's been a long time and I forget what I did about it.....I have finally just let my natural color shine through! It was very freeing when I stopped coloring my hair for some reason.

Do put a picture up!

My husband and brother-in-law are going to the Tea Party next Monday in Gilbert. Too bad we missed the one in Queen Creek!
Just got my hair colored and cut with a new stylist so, after my shower, I'll see what it looks like.

Ewww! scary about your hair... Red colors seem very risky to me. I always do the same color no matter what. I color my own too. I'm sorry I don't know what to tell ya about that. :(

I am all the way with ya on the politics! You know I totally agree with you. We didn't participate in any of them though.

Just a thought....why don't you just go over and tell her you just feel way too dark and ask her to put a few highlights in? She SHOULD do it for free.....I mean $125.?????

I'm sooo sorry to hear about your hair fiasco. It's happened to me on more than one occassion so I feel your pain!

My good friend at work went to a local tea party here. I can't wait to see her at work next week to hear all about it.

Just consider the hair a new look it might even grow on you. I really do thing you should let us vote if we like the new look. Certainly is a pain trying to find the right hair stylist isn't it? Thanks for coming by and leaving me such a sweet not about my foot. Stella

Ok i know it sounds crazy to use dish soap to take color out, but if you really hate your hair you should really try it. I got my hair colored the last time and my low lights were WAY too dark so i washed my hair with kids soap and it faded the color a couple shades and then I loved it. I promise you would want to do that then have it stripped out:) Hopefully it works if not call me. I know I am far but we can fugure something out:)

Hi Jamie,

You can find Cottages & Bungalows at your local Barnes & Noble or Walmart. If not, give Romantic Homes magazine a call and buy one directly from them.

Thank you for your kind words on my Pink Fairy Cottage feature.

I hate hair catastrophies!! I grew my hair out for my wedding and wanted a cute short bob afterwards. I went to a new lady here in LA. It was the WORSE chop job I've ever had and it was just a cut for $90 bucks! I also had a color lady who kept giving me bleach blonde heavy highlights. I had to get all over color so many times to reset all her bleaching. I finally found a lady who does such a great cut and color for $60. I'll fly to Phx just to get my hair done :)

Hi Jamie,
I've been meaning to get over here all weekend. Sorry about the hair but I know you still look beautiful. I know the feeling, sometimes you just want to scream. I think all of us have had a bad hair experience, but it really sucks when you pay that much. That gal should really fix it for you. I am feeling a lot better and I so appreciate all of your sweet notes. My son says it's getting rather hot out there. He's coming home sometime in June for a visit and I can't wait!
Have a good week my friend,
Hugs, Cindy

Hi Jaime,

I wouldn't worry about the hair color sweetie, you're such a lovely lady, you make any color look good! My gosh, you do stay on the move, don't you? I can't believe how many adventures you go on or are involved with......you make me dizzy and I have ADHD......LOL! I'll probably get to creating your "little Princess" Camdyn's layout after my daughters wedding towards the end of May. I can only tackle one wonderous thing at a time......LOL! I'm sorry I didn't get your comment in time to tell you where the show was, as I would have loved to see you again. We had a nice time, it was a little slow, but I met so many nice people that it was worth it just for that reason alone.

Take care, and lot's of hugs,
Meri

That has been some hair drama you've been going through! Although, blond, brunette or red, you're always gorgeous. Lucky you!
