Christmas Eve---The beginning of believing!!!

We stopped by to ride to dinner and church with Will and Corie and Camdyn. Camdyn is dressed in her Cute Red Christmas Dress!!!
Downtown Chandler is all decked out for the Holiday!!!El Zocalo is housed in a very old historic building and on most nights it is a 2 hour wait to get in here, but since it is Christmas eve, we heard it is generally not that busy!!And it lived up to it's rumor, we got right in!!!The food is a taste buds delight!!You may have had Mexican Food in the Past but this place, oh  the food is a delight!!
the back patio is so charming, just a bit to cold for us to sit and eat though, but just had to look around!!

I love the city's annual tumbleweed Christmas tree!!!
Then it was time for Christmas Eve service. The Pastor always has all the kids go onto the stage for story time, this year it was Humphrey's First Christmas. That camel ride at the Zoo had priority riding for us as we Knew a Camel was playing a BIG Role in church this year. The kids did the Christmas play about Humphrey. So Camdyn being the BIG girl she is, marched right up on that stage all by herself!!!
And sat there the entire time and listened to every word!!
Then along came a dressed UP playful Humphrey!!
See the Legs of the BIG Humphrey at church????He gave his blanket to baby Jesus the night he was born.
Meeting Humphrey after church.
Some of our great friends(we actually claim them as family) stopped by with treats!!!We love you guys!!!|And THANK YOU so much for those awesome treats!!
Camdyn ready to open ONE gift!!!NEW P.J.'S!!!
The gifts are all under the tree!!!!Santa did all his work!!!

Hi Jamie,
I loved seeing this post! Camdyn looks so cute for Christmas in her darling red dress!
Dan and I were in Chandler once and loved that little town. It was one that reminded us more of a midwest town.
Your daughter looks so cute pregnant! I bet you are getting so excited for the new baby.
I am coming out on the 11th of Jan. and I think we are all getting together on the 13th. Marty should know the details or Ceekay.
Big Hugs,
Cindy

About the ice fishing - - -

"Grumpy Old Men" was set in a Minnesota town which is just about two hours due west of here! No WONDER my pictures remind you of it.

How do they know the ice is safe? Well, we've had two weeks of subzero temperatures at night and no days has the high been above freezing. That makes good thick ice.

Also, when they use their augars to cut the hole, they can literally SEE how thick the ice is.

Right now, there is no danger of falling through as long as they don't use a place where the water under the ice is moving swiftly. Swiftly moving water doesn't freeze well.

I've appreciated your sweet comments during this season. I love the tumbleweed tree. You DO really fun things. I love the Humphrey story. Tried to buy it but it was sold out on Amazon til next year. Enjoy the New Year with the kids.

Miss C is so cute in her pretty Christmas dress. Sounds like you all had a fabulous time.

I don't know any plans yet. Karen and Cindy are both going to be here and CK said something about lunch on the 13th. I don't know anymore. She said as plans are finalized she'll let me know. Maybe you can contact her for more info. Can't wait to see you all. Hugs, Marty
