Chateau de Fontainebleau

The Chateau(French for Castle and or a Manor house--Country Home) de Fontainebleau was the hunting lodge for the King. Original structure on this site was built in the 12th century. Leonardo de Vinci was invited to paint here.....The Renaissance style was introduced to France here at Fontainebleau. With over 1,500 rooms, it is indeed "the true home of Kings, the house of ages".

No wonder, I have been dreaming of Castles since I got home a week ago!!!One night I woke my husband up and asked "where am I"? I was dreaming of Castles again!!!

Quite Opulent for a hunting lodge!!!

Would you agree????

I found it so interesting that Every Castle I visited they ALL had a Royal Chapel inside...and NO small Chapel, but large ornate chapels. I hope I dream of Castles every night the rest of My life!!!!
