I Believe in Angels!!!

I have a dream
a song to sing
to help me cope
with anything.
If you see the wonder
of a fairytale
you can take the future, even if you fail
I Believe in Angels

These are the words to one of my favorite songs on the MAMA MIA soundtrack(yes, I have the CD too)
Back when I worked at Wells Fargo, there was this elderly lady that came into the bank all the time. Her mission in life was to pass out little Angel pins, she made sure she gave one to everyone and extras for our families. She did this because she was in a very bad car accident and she felt like God gave her a second chance at life. She felt like a guardian Angel saved her and so she wanted that same protection for everyone, she always prayed over her Pin collection before passing them out. When Stacie was a student at NAU, she was driving home one time, she thought something was wrong with her car, so she pulled over and called her Dad, he said check the air pressure in the tires, she said they were fine, so she proceeded to drive, right after going up that big hill coming out of Camp Verde, one of her tires came off her car and rolled off the side of the road. She managed some how to keep control and bring it to a safe stop. A man stopped and helped her and they found the tire and he gave her a ride to Prescott. We feel like God and her Guardian Angel were protecting her that day. She still has her angel pin in her glove box and she knows God is always watching out for her.
Psalms 91:11-12 says:
For he will give his angels charge of you, to guard you in all your ways.
It makes me pause and give thanks for him watching over her, guiding her and watching over her. There was several hundred layoffs at DisneyWorld, 30% management. Stacie was so worried she would be laid off, she has only been a Manager for a year or so, she would love to come home, however, she has a great job that she loves and has made a life there in Orlando. So I told her to Pray and we prayed also that God would work out all the details. Praise God,she was told today her job and all the managers in her workplace would be spared. We all need to be praying for this economy and our Government.

Wow, thank goodness Stacie still has her job.My credit union is making lots of changes too. They are not in danger of closing or layoffs, but there is a hiring freeze and they took away all incentive pay (which is anywhere from $500-$2,000 per month).I used to have Thurs and Fri off and work 9-1 on Saturday, but they closed my branch on Saturdays so I have to make up the hours on Fri.

Wow! Thanks for posting this! It is such a relief to see an orginal blog post. I try and use mine as a personal diary or a day in the life of the Connelly's. I hope that we can all try and be unique and post something that is original to us.

This blog brought a smile to my face! I truly did have a guardian angel and the big guy in the sky keeping an eye on me these last couple weeks throughout my life!!
